Lucerne Grand Connectivity and Transport

Lakeside MRT Station is an East West Line station on the northern boundary of the site. Boon Lay Interchange is one stop to the west, Jurong East Interchange two stops to the east and Buona Vista Interchange five stops to the east, every one of them on the same line with no change of train and no change of mode. Chinese Garden, the station beside the new Science Centre, is one stop to the east.

Stops from Lakeside MRT Station on the East West Line:

  • Chinese Garden, for the new Science Centre: 1 stop
  • Boon Lay Interchange, for the Jurong Region Line and Jurong Point: 1 stop
  • Jurong East Interchange, for the North South Line, JEM, Westgate, IMM Building and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital: 2 stops
  • Clementi: 3 stops
  • Buona Vista Interchange, for the Circle Line: 5 stops

These are stop counts on a single line. They are not travel times, and they are not distances.

Two rail projects will change what Lakeside connects to, and both carry target dates rather than settled ones.

The Jurong Region Line reaches Boon Lay Interchange, one stop away, and adds a station at Jurong Town Hall on the stage running from Tengah to Pandan Reservoir through Jurong East. That stage carries a 2028 target. The Line’s first stage was rescheduled in March 2026 to open around the middle of 2028 instead of the end of 2027, so no stage date on this line has stood unchanged.

The Cross Island Line brings a Jurong Lake District station, working code CR19, on its second phase, targeted for 2032. A third phase running west from that station to Gul Circle was announced on 31 July 2026, with construction due to begin in 2027 and its four stations targeted for the late 2030s.

By road, the Pan Island Expressway, the Ayer Rajah Expressway and the Kranji Expressway are the three expressways serving this part of the west.

The site sits inside the Jurong Lake District, and the nearest committed project in the District is the new Science Centre. That building runs to approximately 55,000 sqm on a 7.4 hectare waterfront site next to Chinese Garden MRT Station, one stop from Lakeside, and is targeted to open around the end of 2027. The Cross Island Line’s Jurong Lake District station follows in 2032.

Employment within reach. International Business Park, Jurong Gateway at Jurong East and the Jurong Innovation District are the three employment centres in the surrounding area, and Jurong Gateway is the one reached directly by rail, two stops away at Jurong East Interchange.

Jurong Lake Gardens is a 90 hectare national garden made up of three parts: Lakeside Garden on the western shore of the lake, and the Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden on their islands within it. Lakeside Garden opened in April 2019 and the rejuvenated Chinese and Japanese Gardens opened on 8 September 2024, which completed the Gardens. The Lakeside Garden edge begins across Yuan Ching Road from the site.

PAssion WaVe @ Jurong Lake Gardens sits on the water inside Lakeside Garden and is the closest of the activity venues to the development.

ActiveSG Sport Village @ Jurong Town lies to the south west, and the Jurong East Sport Hall, Swimming Complex and Stadium sit two stops away beside Jurong East Interchange.

Taman Jurong Greens, Taman Jurong Park and Jurong Central Park are the neighbourhood parks on the Corporation Road side, south and west of the site.
